This is an easy-to-make pie that is very simply a creamy, syrupy layer of butter, milk, sugar, and cinnamon poured over scraps of crust. This Cinnamon Pie will give you great comfort for sure.

Basic Pie Dough

FILLING

Ingredients

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 3–6 tbsp butter
  • cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Prepare the Basic Pie Dough for a single-crust pie.
  2. Prepare the filling: Stir together the sugar and milk, and pour into unbaked pie shell. Dot generously with butter. Sprinkle cinnamon to taste over the custard.
  3. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15–20 minutes or until crust is done.
